The series follows a future incarnation of the Doctor. He is travelling alone in his TARDIS until he arrives in the English coastal town of Thornsby where he meets Caroline Parker and Danny Lennon. But there is something wrong with both of his companions and matters are complicated even more when we discover that there is something wrong with the Doctor as well...
THE DOCTOR (Richard O'Brien)
This Doctor is an unspecified future incarnation. Unlike a number of his predecessors he is quiet, thoughtful and also likes to keep things close to his chest. He has a close friend called Aleena who has watched him from her home in a lighthouse and has recently assisted him.
And this Doctor is hiding a secret. It's something he doesn't want to admit to, but he knows that one day it's going to come back and when it does it will destroy him.
CAROLINE PARKER (Mary Lynn Rajskub)
Caroline Parker is a 30 year old supermarket worker from Thornsby. She is at a point in her life where she feels she is stuck in a dead end. She has only three friends (and one of them she hardly ever sees) and she has totally cut herself off from her parents.
But her life changes completely when she meets the Doctor and she soon starts to discover that maybe she is not all that she thought she was.
DANNY LENNON (Seth Gabel)
Danny Lennon was best friends with Caroline from childhood until he moved away to Manchester. He is always on hand to help out Caroline, but his life takes a darker turn when he decides to join the Doctor and Caroline on their TARDIS travels.
He then makes a mistake which will cause him considerable pain.
